True to its mission to nurture a community of young Romanian researchers specialized on the Asia-Pacific region, RISAP organizes an annual Training Program, during the summer.

So far, there have been four editions of the Training Program, with nearly 30 young students and graduates.

 

Among the participants, there have been both undergraduate and graduate students, interested in the Asia-Pacific region.

Sorina-Cocei-RISAP

Sorina Cocei

Sorina is a graduate of the Faculty of History, University of Bucharest. Her interest are focused on Japan's public diplomacy and Chinese cultural diplomacy in relation with Europe.

Cristina-Dinca-RISAP

Cristina Dincă

Cristina is a graduate of the National School of Political and Administrative Sciences. Her main areas of interest are China's foreign and security policy, in particular its relations with the Middle East, China-US relations and the economics developments of the Asia-Pacific.

Madalin-Enescu-RISAP

Mădălin Enescu

Mădălin is a graduate of the National School of Political and Administrative Sciences. His areas of interest are Asian democratic systems, economic policies of the Asian countries, the Asia-EU relationship, the Romania-Asia relationship, Asian geopolitics and cultural exchanges between Asia and Europe.

Mădălina Merlușcă

Mădălina is a graduate of Shanghai University of Finance. Her areas of interest are closely related to the relations and partnerships formed between China and the European Union, international and economic relations, China's foreign policy, Chinese and Japanese culture.

Mihaela Tăristar

Mihaela is a graduate of the National School of Political and Administrative Sciences. Her areas of interest are China-Central Asia relations and the Belt and Road Initiative.

Maria Vlădoescu

Maria is a graduate of the Faculty of History, University of Bucharest. Her areas of interest revolve around South Korea's and North Korea's geopolitics and international relations, especially the relations with the United States.

Ioana Cristocea

Ioana studied International Relations and European Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Bucharest. Her research interests include the security of the Korean Peninsula, inter-Korean relations, South Korean and North Korean foreign policy, and the two Korean countries' relations with the United States.

Laurentiu-Gagu-RISAP

Laurențiu Gagu

Laurențiu is a graduate of the Department of International Relations and European Integration, specializing in Conflict Analysis, within the National School of Political and Administrative Sciences, in Bucharest. His research areas are: conflict analysis, the South China Sea, democratic consolidation and also the eastern flank of the EU.

Anjie Goh

Anjie is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. Anjie is passionate about Chinese culture, and her main areas of interest are international relations and the international economy in Asia, with a special interest in Singapore and Vietnam.

Andreea Mandiuc

Andreea is a graduate of the Faculty of Political Sciences within the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), specializing in International Relations and European Studies, in Bucharest. Her areas of interest are international relations between the Asia-Pacific and the European Union.

Ruxandra is a graduate of the Master of International Relations at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Passionate about Korean history and culture, her areas of interest are South Korea's domestic and foreign policy, especially its relations with North Korea and neighboring East Asian countries.

Mihai Ardelean

Mihai is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Philosophy of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. His areas of interest are related to geopolitics and geostrategy, focusing on Indonesia's domestic and foreign policy and also the geopolitical developments of the Asia-Pacific.

Georgiana-Boboc-RISAP

Georgiana Boboc

Georgiana graduated with a Master's degree in International Relations from China Foreign Affairs University. Georgiana is particularly interested in China's foreign policy, the role of the Chinese state in the international system and its relations with major players such as the United States and Russia.

George Boghean

George is a graduate of the Faculty of History, the Department of International Relations and European Studies, as well as the Master of Diplomatic Techniques at the University of Bucharest. His fields of research are the history, domestic and foreign policy of Japan, as well as the history of relations between the United States and Japan.

Mădălina Ion

Mădălina is a graduate of the Master of East Asian Studies at the University of Bucharest. She has a degree in philology, graduating from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, specializing in Japanese-English, from the same university. Her research interests are Japan's domestic and foreign policy and the social aspects of Japan.

Andreea graduated with a master's degree from the Beijing Foreign Studies University, specializing in Business Law and Chinese Commercial Law. She is interested in studying the dynamics of international relations and analyzing China's foreign policy.

Alexandra graduated with a Master's Degree in International Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (ASE). Her areas of interest are international relations, geopolitics and diplomacy, and her main area of interest is Russia.

Cristopher is a graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest. His areas of interest are China's foreign policy and relations with its Asian neighbors, as well as relations between China and Central and Eastern European countries.

Andreea is a graduate of the Master's Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies. For many years, she has been studying the Korean language. Her areas of interest are security, international relations and Korean culture.

Mirabela is a graduate of the Middle Eastern and Modern European Languages program (specializing in Arabic and Russian) at the University of Manchester. Her main interests are international relations (especially relations between Russia and China) and Islam in Southeast Asia.

Andrei is a graduate of the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics at the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) in Bucharest. His areas of interest are the economy, the financial and banking systems in the Asia-Pacific in general, and Southeast Asia in particular.
